Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy had to fight off a bird during a live appearance discussing a dispute with Mexico and tariffs on “Fox and Friends” Friday.
China announced it was increasing tariffs on American imports to the Communist nation to 125% on Friday, according to The Associated Press. Doocy was reporting on both the tariffs and President Donald Trump’s actions in a water dispute with Mexico when the bird landed on his head in the middle of the segment.
“Peter, I appreciate–” “Fox and Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade said when the bird, which appeared to be a pigeon, landed on Doocy’s head, prompting Doocy to shout, “It landed on my head!”
“What is going on?” Kilmeade asked after Doocy’s brief unscripted Disney princess moment, with Doocy exclaiming, “I did not like that at all!”
Trump threatened additional tariffs and sanctions on Mexico over a dispute about 1.3 million acre-feet of water in a Thursday post on Truth Social.

“The back of your head, your hair is standing up now. What is going on?” Kilmeade said, while co-host Lawrence Jones added, “Got to do the hair now!”
“That is probably so dirty!” Doocy exclaimed. “President Trump, if you are watching upstairs, we got to do something about these birds. Where is the park service? They are always out here in the street and blowing except when the birds are landing on my head!”
About two hours after the incident, during an appearance on “America’s Newsroom,” Doocy later told co-host Dana Perino and guest co-host Martha MacCallum that he received a text from Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum’s team promising to look into the matter after Perino replayed the clip of the incident for MacCallum.
“A couple of minutes ago, I got a text about that from the Interior Secretary’s team and they say that they’ve deployed all assets from the park service and fish and wildlife to figure out what’s going on,” Doocy told Perino and MacCallum. “So, we will be standing by here at the scene of the crime for that.”
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the incident from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
