Four men have been charged in connection with the carjacking and kidnapping that led to the death of 31-year-old Katherine Guerrero De Aguasvivas.
The four men – Jordanish Torres Garcia, Kevin Ocasio Justiniano, Giovany Crespo Hernandez, and Dereck Alexis Rodriguez Bonilla – are facing a slew of serious charges, including carjacking resulting in death, kidnapping, and the use of a firearm during a violent crime.
If convicted on all counts, they each face the possibility of life in prison or even the death penalty.

According to the details provided in the indictment, the events unfolded on April 11th in the Winter Springs area of Seminole County, Florida. A witness recorded the chilling moment when a hooded man, wearing a “ninja mask,” pointed an automatic handgun at the victim, Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvias, as she sat in the driver’s seat of her white Dodge Durango.
Just moments before the carjacking, Aguasvias had noticed a green Acura ramming into the back of her vehicle, prompting her to call her husband. He advised her not to stop, but neither of them contacted the authorities. Tragically, the hooded assailant managed to force his way into the backseat of Aguasvias’ car and demanded that she drive to a remote area in Osceola County, several miles away.
The Durango was later found by Osceola County deputies, but the grim discovery was that the vehicle had been burned, with Aguasvias’ body still inside the driver’s seat.
The investigation that followed involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including those at the federal, state, and local levels, as part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative.

Days and weeks after the kidnapping, the four suspects were arrested and charged with their alleged involvement in the heinous crime. The indictment revealed that the case was part of a larger scheme, with Crespo Hernandez allegedly calling Torres Garcia to set up the carjacking in an attempt to retrieve $170,000 that Aguasvias had reportedly come to pick up from him, likely from drug deals.
