Fort Myers Man Struck And Killed By Motorcycle On US-19 In Port Richey

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A tragic accident on US-19 claimed the life of a Fort Myers man and left two individuals on a motorcycle with serious injuries Sunday evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:55 p.m., just north of Seward Drive. According to authorities, a 60-year-old Port Richey man was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling northbound on US-19 when a pedestrian, a 64-year-old Fort Myers Beach man, attempted to cross the roadway heading eastbound. The pedestrian entered the motorcycle’s path and was fatally struck.

The Fort Myer man was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.

The motorcycle’s driver and a passenger, a 41-year-old Port Richey woman, sustained serious injuries in the crash. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
