Former state Rep. Anthony Sabatini, R-Mount Dora, on Friday ended his bid to unseat Republican Congressman Daniel Webster.
According to a handwritten document posted on the state website, Sabatini notified the state Division of Elections that he was withdrawing from the Congressional District 11 race and would run for a seat on the Lake County Commission.
Two other candidates, Democrat Barbie Harden Hall and Republican John McCloy, remain in this year’s race against Webster in the Central Florida district.
