A bizarre incident involving Vienna sausages has led to criminal charges against a former cop in Tennessee.
Former Jacksboro police officer Joseph Weaver is accused of vandalizing the home of Jacksboro Vice Mayor Jimmy Snodgrass using cans of processed meat.

According to NewsNation, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office reported that Snodgrass heard loud thumps outside his residence on July 11th. Upon investigating, he discovered two broken windows and multiple cans of Vienna sausages scattered around his property.
Security footage from a nearby Walmart revealed Weaver purchasing a large quantity of Vienna sausages shortly before the incident.
Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Tosha Tackett, who led the investigation, stated that Weaver was captured on camera buying seven out of 15 cans of Vienna sausages at the self-checkout, along with a black t-shirt, before driving off in a black van in the direction of Snodgrass’ home.

A witness who was in the van with Weaver that night told investigators that Weaver had been agitated about his resignation from the police department and had consumed alcohol before the incident.
Weaver faces charges of vandalism over $2,500 and theft under $1,000. The motive behind the unusual attack remains unclear, but the incident has sent shockwaves through the small community.

Jacksboro Police Chief Daniel Smith confirmed that Weaver resigned from the department before the incident and expressed disappointment over the allegations.
He emphasized that the department does not condone such behavior and cooperates fully with the investigation.
