Floridians are eager to travel in 2025, with a new AAA survey revealing that 86% of residents plan to take at least one vacation of three days or more this year. This marks a 2% increase compared to last year, indicating a strong desire for travel and leisure.
Americans continue to make vacations a top priority,” said Debbie Haas, Vice President of Travel for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “AAA travel agents are busy planning a wide range of trips from weekend getaways to world cruises.”

The survey also found that nearly half (45%) of travelers plan to take more vacations this year than last year.
Road trips, theme parks, and beach destinations top the list of preferred vacation types for 2025.
“Theme parks rank high on the list this year, especially with new attractions opening in Orlando,” Haas noted.
International travel is also gaining popularity, with 20% of Floridians planning trips to Europe and 22% heading to the Caribbean.
Spring break is a particularly popular time for travel, with 26% of Floridians planning trips during this period. Theme parks and beach destinations are the top choices for spring break getaways.
