Florida’s Toll Relief Program, designed to offer financial relief to frequent toll road users, has already generated significant savings since its launch in April. In just four months, more than $164.5 million in toll relief credits have been issued, benefiting 1.2 million drivers each month. In July alone, customers received $41.1 million in account credits.
“The Toll Relief Program gives FDOT the opportunity to help commuters, small business owners, and frequent travelers amid rising costs,” said FDOT Secretary Jared W. Perdue, P.E. “We are grateful for Governor DeSantis’ leadership in bringing back this successful program for another year.”

The program, which runs from April 2024 through March 2025, provides SunPass customers with at least 35 monthly toll transactions a 50% credit to their accounts. SunPass users already save an average of 25% on tolls, and this initiative offers them an additional way to cut costs.
Building on the success of the 2022 SunPass Savings program, Governor DeSantis committed to extending financial relief to Florida’s drivers through a one-year toll relief initiative in 2023. This resulted in approximately $470 million in credits, benefiting 1.2 million Floridians with an average savings of nearly $400 per customer. Earlier this year, Governor DeSantis and the Florida Legislature extended the program, reinforcing their dedication to serving drivers across the state.
