The Florida Lottery announced on Monday that Altovise Morris, 41, of Orlando, claimed two $1 million prizes from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game.

She received each of her winnings as one-time, lump-sum payments of $820,000.00.

In November 2022, Morris traveled to the Lottery Headquarters office to claim her first $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game. She told Lottery officials, “I’ll be back!”

Just as Morris predicted, she was back at Headquarters in January 2023 to claim her second $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game.

She said her lucky win happened again right after she bought her dream home, adding to the serendipity of the situation. “After closing on my house, I stopped at a Sunoco Foodmart in Clermont, and it happened again. I still can’t believe this is happening!” Morris said.

Morris purchased her first winning ticket at 7-Eleven, located at 13698 West Colonial Drive in Winter Garden. Her second winning ticket was purchased at Sunoco Foodmart, located at 940 South U.S. Highway 27 in Clermont.

Each retailer has received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling a winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $50 game, 500X THE CASH, features a top prize of $25 million -the largest ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off game and the best odds to become an instant millionaire! The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 77 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2021-2022. Since inception, Scratch-Off games have generated more than $17.77 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
