Florida Woman In Winn Dixie With Machete Arrested, Tosses Feces At Deputy

Last week, deputies in Florida had a handful of a woman to deal with after a Winn Dixie manager requested that a machete-wielding Florida woman be escorted out of the store.

According to investigators, deputies were called to Winn-Dixie in Crescent City after someone reported a woman with a machete acting erratically. Deputies arrived and located Neomi Brown, 41, of Crescent City in the store with a machete in a sheath attached to her backpack.

Deputies say that Brown was animated and yelling at someone on her cellphone.

Deputies were asked by a manager to remove Brown from the property. As deputies were completing paperwork, Brown was discovered to have a warrant for her arrest from Volusia County.

When deputies informed Brown of the arrest warrant, she became violent and started fighting. Deputies were able to restrain Brown, but she managed to kick one deputy in the face.

After securing Brown in the vehicle, deputies say Brown started to defecate in the backseat and as the deputy was driving, tried to throw feces over the partition that separates the front and back seats, onto him.

Investigators say that she then spit over the partition onto the deputy. After Brown was turned over to the Putnam County Jail and cleaning began on the deputies cruiser, a 12-gram bag of methamphetamine was found in the backseat.

In addition to her warrant for Volusia County, Brown was additionally charged with two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, and possession of methamphetamine.

She is being held at the Putnam County Jail.
