A Florida woman faces many accusations, including attempted murder, following an internet date encounter.
Crystal Skiba is facing ten charges following her arrest on April 24th in Hardee County, Florida. The alleged victim contacted deputies about the incident, claiming Skiba fired multiple shots at him as he exited her home.
The victim, whose identity was redacted in court documents, informed deputies that he had met Skiba on Facebook earlier that day.

Their chat became “flirtatious” as they discussed work for a “horror production company” he was attempting to establish, and Skiba invited the man to her home.
What began as seemingly innocent “flirtatious banter” quickly escalated into a nightmarish scenario, as the Hardee County Sheriff’s Office would later reveal.
Skiba, in a calculated move, allegedly attempted to seduce the unsuspecting victim, lulling him into a false sense of security before unveiling her true intentions.
Skiba, according to investigators, suddenly demanded payment from the man and brandished a handgun, effectively trapping him within the confines of her home. The victim, realizing the gravity of the situation, managed to escape the premises, but his ordeal was far from over.

As the victim hastily fled Skiba’s home, he encountered a barrage of gunfire. Skiba, unwilling to let her prey escape, allegedly opened fire on the victim’s vehicle, unleashing a volley of shots as he sped away. Miraculously, the victim emerged unharmed, but the traumatic experience had left an indelible mark.
Shaken but unharmed, the victim promptly reported the incident to the Hardee County Sheriff’s Office, setting in motion a comprehensive investigation.
Detectives responded to Skiba’s residence, uncovering not only the firearm used in the attack but also dope.
“Detectives uncovered not only the firearm used in the incident but also illicit narcotics,” the sheriff’s office said.

Skiba’s actions have led to a litany of charges, including attempted first-degree murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.
The gravity of the situation is further compounded by the fact that two minor children were present during the harrowing ordeal, adding to the already complex and distressing nature of the case.
