Florida Woman Claims $10,000,000 Powerball Double Play Win After 7-Eleven Stop

The Florida Lottery announced that Laura Barnes, 55, of St. Petersburg, claimed a $10 million prize from the POWERBALL® with Double Play® Draw game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Florida Lottery announced that Laura Barnes, 55, of St. Petersburg, claimed a $10 million prize from the POWERBALL® with Double Play® Draw game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

The winning ticket matched all five white balls and the Powerball number from the Double Play drawing held on July 6, 2022.

Barnes purchased her $10 million-winning POWERBALL with Double Play Quick Pick ticket from 7-Eleven, located at 5790 34th Street North in St. Petersburg.

Double Play is an add-on feature that gives players the chance to win up to $10 million in an additional drawing held following each POWERBALL drawing, using the same numbers played on their POWERBALL ticket. Double Play tickets cost an additional $1 per play.

The next POWERBALL drawing will be held tonight, at 10:59 p.m., ET, with an estimated $700 million jackpot. Tickets must be purchased by 10:00 p.m., ET to be eligible for this drawing.
