A Florida woman has been arrested and charged with murder after she admitted to shooting her boyfriend in the head after a verbal altercation.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence at 9016 Houston Street, Panama City Beach, at about 1:15 AM when Nicole Marie Harris, age 37, called 911 to report a shooting.
Deputies say that Harris lived with Vivian George Smith, 31, her boyfriend, at the home on Houston Street.

Deputies responded and found Smith on a bed within the home with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS also responded and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Harris spoke with responding deputies and Criminal Investigators and told them several inconsistent statements that proved contrary to the evidence that the BCSO Crime Scene Unit collected and analyzed from the crime scene.
After speaking with Harris, investigators believe that Harris and Smith met about four months ago at a local restaurant where they both worked. About three months ago, their relationship became romantic.
A few weeks ago, Smith lost his job, and the two moved in together, investigators say.

There was a verbal altercation before the shooting, deputies say.
After the altercation in which Smith stated to Harris that he intended to move back to his home in south Florida, Smith dozed off in bed.
Harris told investigators that a short time after Smith went to sleep, she shot him in the head.
Nicole Marie Harris was arrested and charged with an Open count of Murder. She was taken to the Bay County Jail.
