A Florida woman has been arrested for allegedly running over her boyfriend and his infant son with her car.
According to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, Aaliyah Ross, 27, got into an argument with her 25-year-old boyfriend on Monday.
Tensions escalated, and Ross decided to take drastic action. She placed two of her children, aged 4 and 6 months, inside her Toyota Corolla and got behind the wheel.
As the argument continued, the boyfriend grabbed his 16-month-old son and tried to flee. However, Ross made the decision to accelerate her vehicle directly toward the man and the infant, intentionally running them over.

The impact was devastating, leaving the man with bruising to his body and lungs, while the infant suffered a broken left shoulder, multiple broken ribs, a partially collapsed lung, and severe abrasions and bruising, according to Judd.
After the horrific incident, Ross reportedly left the scene, abandoning the injured infant at the unoccupied residence. It was only later that authorities were alerted, and the child was discovered and rushed to the hospital.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office immediately launched an investigation and issued an arrest warrant for Aaliyah Ross. She was eventually apprehended in Orlando and taken into custody.
During her interrogation, Ross admitted that she had previously acted as if she was going to run over her boyfriend, only to swerve at the last moment. She claimed that she assumed her boyfriend would move out of the way this time, but he did not.

“Aaliyah Ross made a series of incredibly unthinkable choices Monday: running over a man and a baby with a car, leaving the baby alone, and failing to get medical treatment for the obviously injured baby. Someone who does this to a baby will do this to anyone,” said Judd.
Aaliyah Ross is facing a slew of charges, including aggravated child abuse, domestic aggravated battery, negligent child abuse, domestic battery, and leaving the scene of a crash with property damage.
