A 27-year-old Florida woman was arrested after her 2-month-old boy was treated for a fractured skull, according to police.
Emily Piccininni, 27, is being held on a $1 million bond in the Indian Lake Jail after calling 911 saying that her infant was “twitching” and had colic issues.
According to Daytona Beach Police, medical personnel told investigators the infant had a skull fracture and the brain was bleeding. The injuries are thought to be non-accidental and are consistent with shaken baby syndrome.
The 27-year-old mom is charged with aggravated child abuse.
