Florida Woman Attacks Man, Hitting Him With His Own Car

A Florida woman was arrested Saturday after she attacked a man and hit him with his own car, according to police.

    A Florida woman was arrested Saturday after she attacked a man and hit him with his own car, according to police.

    According to the Clearwater Police Department, at about 7:10 a.m., the male victim was coming back home after a night out.

    Police say as he pulled into his driveway, Margaret Ann Rafferty, 33, of Clearwater, jumped inside the car and began to punch and scratch the several times on his face, arms, back, and chest.

    The man tried to exit the vehicle and stop the attack, but he left the car running.

    That’s when police say Rafferty got into the driver’s seat and hit the victim with his own car.

    Police said the victim suffered some bruises, road rash, and scratches and was transported to Morton Plant Hospital.

    According to the arrest affidavit, the woman told police she “never drove a car nor did the altercation become physical” and did not remember what happened.

    Rafferty was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on charges of domestic battery and aggravated battery with a vehicle.
