Two Florida universities have named interim presidents this week in the wake of unexpected resignations: retired Pasco-Hernando State College President Tim Beard will lead Florida A&M University (FAMU) after President Larry Robinson’s departure, while former University of Florida (UF) President Kent Fuchs returns to his former role following the resignation of UF President Ben Sasse.
Both appointments await approval from the state university system’s Board of Governors.
