PASCO COUNTY, Fla – Florida Highway Patrol Troopers are seeking the public’s help in identifying a hit-and-run driver who fled the scene of a crash on foot.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Ford Escape, driven by an unknown adult male, was traveling northbound on DeCubellis Road. 

The driver failed to stop and collided with a Nissan Altima, driven by a 66-year-old New Port Richey man, which was stopped for a red traffic signal at the intersection of Ridge Road. 

The driver of the Nissan was uninjured, troopers say.

Following the collision, the driver of the Ford continued northbound on DeCubellis Road until failing to negotiate a curve in the roadway. 

The Ford departed the roadway and overturned several times.  After the vehicle came to a stop, the unknown driver fled the scene on foot.

The suspect driver is the one with a cobra tattoo on his right leg and a cast on his left arm.
