Florida Troopers Searching For Hit-And-Run Driver Who Killed 70-Year-Old Pasco Woman

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – The driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in New Port Richey on Monday night is wanted by Florida Highway Patrol after they fled the scene.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that at around 8 p.m., an unidentified vehicle traveling east on Shamrock Drive at the intersection of Nimmer Drive struck the 70-year-old woman.

The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital, where she eventually passed away from her injuries, according to troopers.

Evidence located at the scene of the crash suggests the suspect vehicle to be a 1990s model Ford Ranger pickup, troopers say.
