Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers apprehended a driver overnight after a high-speed chase that spanned multiple counties. The pursuit began when troopers responded to a request for assistance from Polk County deputies to intercept a driver who had fled from them.
The driver, identified as 34-year-old Anthony Jermaine Hoyte of Orlando, was spotted traveling eastbound on Interstate 4 in a Mercedes sedan. Troopers attempted a traffic stop, but Hoyte fled, leading them on a chase with speeds exceeding 130 MPH.
