A 19-year-old Florida man is facing drug and weapons charges after a traffic stop on Thursday led to the discovery of a loaded 3-D printed gun and oxycodone.
Walton County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Richard Michael Brown for speeding on Highway 98 in Santa Rosa Beach near Old Blue Mountain Road. When deputies approached his vehicle, they noticed Brown attempting to conceal something in his waistband.
Brown was ordered to exit the vehicle, and a zip-lock bag containing a single oxycodone pill was found behind his belt buckle. He admitted to taking another pill about an hour before the traffic stop.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a 3-D printed handgun inside a bag. The firearm, which had no serial number, featured a 3-D printed frame and contained all the standard components of a Glock 9mm. The magazine was loaded with 12 rounds of ammunition.
Brown was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and unlawful carrying of a concealed weapon.
In Florida, it is illegal to carry a concealed weapon if you are under 21 years of age.
