Deputies also identified and tracked down a suspect vehicle that left the area.
During their search of the area, deputies found a discarded black ski mask, a black hoodie, and a Coach bag containing a 9mm handgun.
The investigation revealed that 16-year-old Marcel Serrano pistol-whipped a 14-year-old in the head and fired a round during a confrontation that involved several other juveniles.
In addition to recovering the gun and clothing, deputies found the shell casing from the shot fired.
Marcel was charged with aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and tampering with evidence.
