During National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody announced that Florida State University would join the 100 Percent Club.

Attorney General Moody’s 100 Percent Club recognizes businesses and organizations that commit to training their employees on how to detect and report human trafficking.

Students, faculty, and staff at FSU can now access the statewide training module through the university’s online academic platform.

“We are excited to have FSU on our team to end human trafficking in Florida. By training these future leaders, we spread awareness across our state and increase the number of people trained to spot and report human trafficking,” said Moody.

There are more than 44,000 students and 15,000 employees at FSU. By completing the training, students will earn a badge on an electronic resume as well as a digital certificate of completion.

On Tuesday at 4:00 p.m., FSU will kick off membership in the 100 Percent Club by hosting an event for students, faculty and staff with information about developments in the fight to end trafficking and a training session. The free, anti-human trafficking training is available on Canvas, an academic online platform.

Attorney General Moody launched the 100 Percent Club in 2022 to recognize companies taking proactive steps to train employees on the signs of human trafficking.

Through the 100 Percent Club, nearly 10,000 individuals are now trained to spot and report trafficking. To join the 100 Percent Club, companies must commit to providing this training to employees and issuing a quick-reference guide about how to report human trafficking.
