Seven Republican state attorneys general heaped praise on the Trump administration Friday, crediting its Justice Department for a fast pivot to tackle violent crime and immigration woes they say festered under Biden.

Speaking ahead of joining President Donald Trump at a DOJ event, the group touted “night and day” improvements in public safety and border security within Trump’s first 50 days.

Virginia AG Jason Miyares set the tone: “I’ve had more calls from General Bondi’s DOJ in 30 days than in my last three years combined.”

He hailed the focus on transnational gangs, fentanyl, and cartels, predicting starkly better outcomes. Alabama AG Steve Marshall jabbed at Biden’s DOJ, claiming it fixated on “parents at school board meetings” while crime spiked.

“Fentanyl’s pricier in Alabama now—that’s proof we’re choking the cartels’ supply,” he said, though he stressed there’s more to do.

Florida AG James Uthmeier spotlighted “dozens of raids” nabbing criminal illegal immigrants since January 20. “Biden let these repeat offenders walk free. That stops now,” he vowed.

South Carolina AG Alan Wilson likened lingering issues to “water in the boat” from Biden’s tenure, but praised Trump’s reboot of the ICE 287(g) program, letting local cops detain and deport offenders. “It was gutted before—now it’s a real partnership,” he said.

The AGs—from Alabama, Florida, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Virginia, and West Virginia, plus Kentucky’s deputy AG Rob Duncan—also signaled legal muscle behind Trump’s agenda.

Wilson pledged to defend Trump’s executive order banning transgender procedures for kids, alongside South Carolina’s similar law. “We’re duty-bound to shield citizens from that wacko science,” he told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The group’s cheerleading underscores a honeymoon glow for Trump’s DOJ under Attorney General Pam Bondi, contrasting with Biden-era gripes of neglect. With raids rolling and fentanyl prices ticking up, they see a tide turning—though the “boat,” they admit, isn’t dry yet.
