Ahead of a United Nations General Assembly vote on a resolution introduced by the Palestinian Mission targeting Israel’s control over its historic homeland, Senator Rick Scott, along with Senator Marco Rubio and other colleagues, released a joint statement denouncing the proposal.
In their statement, the senators called the resolution “an absolute disgrace” and accused it of rewarding terrorism.
They described the resolution as an insult to the Jewish people and those who understand history, especially as it comes close to the anniversary of the brutal Hamas terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians.

The senators emphasized the need for the international community to stand united against what they see as a biased effort to delegitimize Israel.
They urged global leaders to focus on eliminating terrorist organizations like Hamas rather than advancing divisive and counterproductive resolutions. The statement also highlighted the ongoing need to ensure the safe return of hostages held by terrorist groups.
