The Florida Senate has tentatively scheduled committee meetings over two weeks in January as lawmakers gear up for the 2025 legislative session, which officially begins on March 4.
According to the Senate’s posted schedule:
- Week of Jan. 13:
- Joint House-Senate committees are tentatively set to meet on Jan. 13.
- Senate committees will convene from Jan. 14 to Jan. 16, including a full meeting of the Appropriations Committee on Jan. 16.

- Week of Jan. 20:
- Joint House-Senate committee meetings are tentatively planned for Jan. 21.
- Senate committees will meet on Jan. 22 and Jan. 23.
These preparatory meetings will set the stage for the legislative session, addressing key issues and advancing bills ahead of the March kickoff.
