Florida Sen. Marco Rubio Highlights National Security Threat That Could Only Happen In Biden’s America

Sen. Marco Rubio this week spotlighted a threat to national security that could only happen in President Joe Biden’s America.

The Florida Republican demanded that the U.S. Transportation Security Administration stop accepting arrest warrants as proof of identification for illegal immigrants boarding airline flights — which, he added, makes Americans more at risk from violent crime and terrorist attacks.

As the senator wrote in Newsweek on Tuesday, for illegals to get on a plane, it’s “(n)o photo ID. No verified information. Just a piece of paper provided by the illegal immigrant.”

“This blatant mockery of U.S. law provoked immediate outrage from common-sense Americans,” Rubio wrote of the policy, which the TSA first confirmed it was allowing in January 2022. “But two years later, the TSA’s policy stands unchanged.”

Rubio noted that the newest funding bill for the Federal Aviation Administration offers Congress a chance to fix Biden’s “insane flight rules to appease illegal immigrants.”

“We must outlaw the use of arrest warrants as identification,” he added. “This has to change if we value our security.”

Rubio argued that the situation is “even more urgent” now than it was two years ago.

Biden has released at least about 7 million more illegals into the country since then and no slowdown is in sight.

Meanwhile, our porous border has been wide open to violent South American criminal gangs, members of Middle Eastern terrorist groups, and, with the fastest-growing group of all, illegals flowing in unchecked from communist China.

Rubio pointed out that FBI Director Christopher Wray has stated the existing threat of terrorist attacks under Biden’s border policies is on a “whole other level” from previous years.

Rubio argued that Americans simply have no idea how many violent thugs and potential terrorists are roaming our streets.

“This is disturbing on its own merits, but it’s especially disturbing in light of the TSA’s lax document policy,” Rubio wrote.

“Lawful U.S. citizens are subject to reasonable photo ID requirements when they fly. But illegal immigrants with potential ties to terrorist organizations or gangs can make do with less? Perhaps the Biden administration’s bureaucrats have forgotten why we instituted flight safeguards in the first place: because September 11, 2001, taught us how disastrous it can be to let the wrong people onto planes.”

“Why hasn’t President Biden reversed course on this misguided policy? For that matter, why hasn’t he reinstated President Donald Trump’s executive orders on immigration or, at the very least, begun enforcing existing laws?” he continued. “The sad reality is that Biden is unwilling to admit Trump was right, and he is unable to buck the open-borders extremists in the Democratic Party’s base.”

“This leaves the American people with the short end of the stick,” he added. “While our commander in chief makes excuses for inaction, working families must watch migrants overrun their communities, drain their public resources, undercut their wages, and jeopardize their safety. And there is little Congress can do, because even the strongest laws are ineffective when the president is unwilling to execute them.”

The senator wrote that he and GOP Rep. Lance Gooden of Texas are working on a measure to end Biden’s policy.

“Securing flights against illegal immigrants and those this administration is unable or unwilling to properly vet is common sense to most Americans,” Rubio concluded.

“Democrats, however, are already signaling they will block this basic reform. Only time will tell the outcome, but the American people deserve a sign their leaders are still looking after them, and I hope my colleagues agree to give them one.”
