U.S. Senator Ashley Moody (R-FL) joined Faulkner Focus to discuss President Donald Trump’s swift actions to curb illegal immigration across the Straits of Florida, as well as U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi’s ambitious agenda to reform the Department of Justice (DOJ) and restore safety across the nation. Moody, a staunch advocate for border security, emphasized the stark contrast between the Trump and Biden administrations’ approaches to immigration enforcement.

During the interview, Senator Moody praised President Trump’s decisive actions to halt illegal immigration and drew a sharp comparison to the policies of former President Joe Biden.

“Imagine, for a moment, a home. You’re trying to protect it. And your options are President Trump to protect your house, or former President Biden to protect your house. It’s not even a question,” Moody said.

She highlighted the dramatic increase in illegal crossings under the Biden administration, particularly the surge of Chinese nationals entering Florida illegally. “Under the last president, in Florida, we saw Chinese nationals coming across our border illegally go up 8,000%. Think about that number,” Moody stated. “While Governor DeSantis was asking for more and more help, it wasn’t happening. So he declared an emergency surge of state assets. That’s what you do to protect your jurisdictional bounds. And that’s what President Trump is going to do for America.”

Moody expressed confidence in Trump’s ability to address the crisis, noting his firsthand understanding of the need for a secure and protected nation. “He understands what it means when we say, ‘Protect this house.’ And thank goodness we have somebody that goes into that White House every day with the understanding of what it means to have a country that is protected and is safe and secure.”

Moody also criticized Democrats for obstructing President Trump’s nominees and delaying critical reforms. “The Democrats are pushing against President Trump’s nominees. I’m listening to them saying, ‘We’re going to fight.’ Their definition of that is to obstruct, delay, and waste very precious time to get this country back on the right course,” she said.

Moody emphasized the urgency of addressing the border crisis and restoring credibility to U.S. institutions. “This is precious time [with which] people like Kash Patel could be in office getting things done. And all we’re seeing is them waste time. As a mother, as the wife of a law enforcement officer, as an American, it is [incredible] that they would stop and delay as we try to get this house in order.”

Turning to the DOJ, Moody applauded U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi for hitting the ground running on her first day in office. Bondi, a former Florida Attorney General, has prioritized combating the fentanyl crisis and reforming the DOJ to ensure national security.

“I’m so glad you were highlighting Pam Bondi taking the oath and getting to work. She needs her people in place to execute these things. She needs the director of the FBI ready to go,” Moody said. “Her passion to secure this nation [is] based on her decades as a prosecutor and attorney general.”

Moody recalled Bondi’s impactful advocacy in Florida, where she famously demonstrated the lethal dangers of fentanyl to lawmakers. “It is still lore, back in Florida, when Bondi went into lawmakers’ chambers and said, ‘This amount of fentanyl will kill you.’ And remember, [fentanyl] is the number one killer of working and fighting-age Americans right now. There is no more time to waste. And if Democrats stand in our way, it is on their hands and heads.”

Moody called on Americans to support President Trump and Attorney General Bondi’s efforts to restore safety and security across the nation.

“We have the leadership in place to get this done,” Moody said. “Now it’s time to act.”
