In an unprecedented turnout, Florida Republicans have surpassed Democrats by over one million votes in early, in-person voting for the 2024 General Election. According to the Florida Department of State, 2,549,139 Republicans cast their votes early in person, compared to 1,510,943 Democrats, marking a significant lead for the GOP ahead of Election Day.
Five counties that voted for Joe Biden in 2020—Duval, Hillsborough, Miami-Dade, Pinellas, and Seminole—are now showing strong Republican turnout, putting them in prime positions to potentially “flip.”

In fact, Republicans have led early in-person voting in 61 of Florida’s 67 counties, including major areas like Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, Hillsborough, and Pinellas.
“We are in a great position to win on Tuesday,” said Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power. “These historic numbers clearly show Florida Republican voters are excited to elect President Trump, Senator Scott, our members of Congress, and all candidates down the ballot.”
Power added that Democratic efforts to energize their base have fallen flat. “Florida Democrats are struggling to excite their voters, with low turnout for high-profile events like ‘Souls to the Polls.’ Voters remember the strength of the economy, border security, and global standing under President Trump—and they’re motivated to restore it.”

With a substantial early voting lead, the Republican Party of Florida remains focused on driving voter turnout through Election Day. “We’re asking all Florida voters to join us in bringing common-sense solutions back to the White House,” Power said. “This turnout shows we have the momentum to make it happen.”
