A jury in the New York City borough of Manhattan convicted former President Donald Trump on Thursday in the case, which most Republicans call a sham or corrupt.

Trump was convicted on all 34 counts of falsifying business records charged in Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s indictment.

“This verdict is the corrupt result of a corrupt trial, a corrupt judge, and a corrupt DA. We will stand with President Trump now more than ever to save the country,” said Gaetz on X.

Congressman Ronny Jackson of Texas called the verdict an ‘absolute disaster.’

“WELCOME TO THE SOVIET UNION!!!!! This country will NEVER be the same again!  A TRULY SAD and PATHETIC day for America. This verdict is an ABSOLUTE DISASTER for ALL Americans!! UNBELIEVABLE!! Biden and the radical left WEAPONIZED the “justice system” in NYC to keep President Trump from coming back to the White House. LAWFARE! ELECTION INTERFERENCE! True American Patriots know he did NOTHING WRONG. WE WILL MAKE THIS RIGHT! HE WILL BE BACK!!” said Jackson on X.

Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake sent the Tampa Free Press a statement following the verdict saying:

“We just witnessed the most egregious example of election interference and an outright mockery of the rule of law in the 246-year history of our Republic. This entire process right down to the verdict itself has been nothing but a shameful political stunt.

This is a non-crime that a Soros-backed DA conjured out of thin air and placed in front of a highly conflicted Democrat judge, all in an effort to imprison Joe Biden’s political opponent. The star witness in this case was a convicted perjurer, whose testimony before the court was one of the most embarrassing debacles ever seen in a courtroom.

This conviction should be immediately reversed upon appeal, and this legal tyranny will be summarily rejected by the American people on November 5th.”

Trump pled not guilty to all 34 counts of falsifying business documents in connection with his former lawyer, Michael Cohen’s hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels in the final weeks of the 2016 presidential election.

The jury reached its decision after 9.5 hours of deliberations, which began on Wednesday.

The historic conviction comes as Trump is the probable Republican presidential nominee.

Trump will be sentenced on July 11, just days before he will be formally selected as the 2024 Republican nominee.
