Florida Rep. Luna Says Lawmakers Requesting Never-Before-Seen JFK Assassination Video From NBC

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) revealed Friday night that lawmakers are requesting a previously unseen video allegedly held by NBC News that could challenge the long-accepted narrative surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

During an appearance on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Luna said the House Oversight Committee, which is spearheading a fresh investigation into the JFK assassination following the recent declassification of over 60,000 pages of previously secret documents, believes the video may hold key evidence that contradicts the theory that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.

“It was made aware to me this evening that NBC actually has a video that’s never been seen before,” Luna told Watters. “We’re going to be sending a letter requesting that from NBC because it allegedly shows Oswald near the vehicle when the assassination took place — which means that he couldn’t have been the shooter.”

The Oversight Committee’s first public hearing on the JFK files is set for April 1, where notable witnesses will include filmmaker Oliver Stone and investigative journalist Jefferson Morley. Both have long questioned the official conclusions of the Warren Commission, which found Oswald acted alone in the 1963 killing.

“We’re tracking down all this information,” Luna said. “There’s even a CIA document that came out that Mr. Morley pointed out which said the CIA never bought the lone gunman theory.”

In January, President Donald Trump signed an executive order instructing Attorney General Pam Bondi and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to create a comprehensive plan to release all remaining JFK files. That order led to the largest declassification of Kennedy-era intelligence materials in decades.

Among the revelations: files confirming that the CIA had been surveilling Oswald prior to Kennedy’s assassination in Dallas, deepening questions about the agency’s role and what it knew ahead of time.

According to Luna, it was Oliver Stone, the acclaimed director of the 1991 film JFK, who alerted lawmakers to the existence of the NBC video. She said Stone told committee members he had viewed a secondary copy of the tape, and claimed it “could blow open the entire JFK investigation.”

“He said that NBC has been very, very much so guarding this tape,” Luna said. “I believe that that tape belongs to the American people.”

Watters pressed Luna on whether NBC is actively withholding the video, to which she responded that the committee will formally request the footage from the network and encouraged the public to demand its release as well.

The existence of previously unseen footage placing Oswald near the motorcade — if verified — would directly challenge decades of official accounts, potentially reopening one of the most scrutinized events in American history.

Luna praised Trump, Ratcliffe, and Gabbard for prioritizing transparency and public access to sensitive historical records.

“How can a free and fair society operate if its agency was operating in the shadows?” she asked. “It’s time the American people know the truth.”

NBC News has not yet commented on Luna’s claims or whether it possesses the alleged video. The Oversight Committee’s April 1 hearing is expected to draw national attention as interest in the JFK case surges once again — this time, with new evidence on the horizon.
