Florida Representative Greg Steube ripped the Biden administration in the aftermath of the New Orleans New Year’s terror attack, which claimed the lives of at least ten people and injured dozens more.
In a statement released on X Wednesday, Steube highlighted what he described as national security vulnerabilities under President Biden’s leadership, asserting that the administration’s policies have left the United States exposed to acts of terror.

“We’ve been warning for years: our country is extremely vulnerable to acts of terror after four years of the Biden administration projecting weakness to the world and failing to enforce our laws,” Steube said. “ISIS must be fully rooted out.”
The FBI has confirmed it is investigating the New Orleans attack as an act of terrorism. Authorities identified the suspect as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who was killed by police during the incident. The investigation is ongoing, with potential ties to ISIS under review.

Steube called for swift action to address what he sees as the root causes of these threats, emphasizing the need for strong leadership and effective policies to protect the homeland.
“Confirming Trump’s nominees as quickly as possible is the best way to ensure the strength of both our homeland and our national security is restored,” Steube added.
Steube extended his prayers to the victims and their families. “My prayers are with the victims of this horrific terror attack and their loved ones who grieve this New Year’s Day,” he said.
