Republican Florida Rep. Byron Donalds criticized Democrats for what he described as “fear-mongering” and “gaslighting” during an appearance on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle Tuesday.

Donalds claimed that Democrats are using attacks on former President Donald Trump to divert attention from the Biden administration’s record, especially highlighting Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I expect nothing but fear-mongering from Kamala Harris because that’s all she has. She can’t talk about the border. She broke it. She can’t talk about the economy. She wrecked it. She can’t talk about foreign policy,” Donalds said. “It’s a mess. And she can’t even talk about her job with Joe Biden over the last three and a half years because he’s not even allowed at this rally, which is 200 yards away from the White House. So all she can do is fear monger against Donald Trump.”

Donalds also noted that Biden was notably absent from a campaign rally close to the White House, suggesting that Harris is left focusing on Trump rather than on accomplishments.

He characterized Harris’s approach as out of touch with voters looking for concrete solutions. “All she has is word salad,” Donalds continued, arguing that “Donald Trump is the person who will fix America and make America great again.”

Further, Donalds accused Democrats of relying on attacks to shift the narrative, stating, “They were joy and vibes three weeks ago. Now everything is, attack Donald Trump, call him Hitler, call his supporters fascists.”

He referenced the rally at Madison Square Garden, where he and other diverse speakers, including Vivek Ramaswamy and Death Row Records founder Harry-O, addressed the crowd.

“We spoke at that rally. Do you think the Nazis would let two black guys and a guy of Hindu descent speak at a rally at one of theirs? Absolutely not. But that’s all they have. The constant fear-mongering and gaslighting is enough,” Donalds said.

Harris recently called Trump a fascist at a CNN town hall, referencing warnings from Trump’s former chief of staff, John Kelly, and others concerned about potential authoritarianism should Trump return to office.
