The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has updated its Panther Pulse webpage with news of a panther that was killed.
A 6.5-year-old female panther was found dead on Corkscrew Road in Lee County on August 24th. The suspected cause of death is a vehicle collision.
The FWC reminds the public to report injured or dead panthers to their Wildlife Alert Hotline and to support panther conservation efforts by purchasing a “Protect the Panther” license plate.
