Florida Model Murdered While On Facetime With 3 Friends

In a murder-suicide on Wednesday night, a Florida man shot his ex-girlfriend and then turned the gun on himself while she was on a Facetime call with three friends.

According to West Palm Beach Police, on March 8, 2024, a distressing incident unfolded inside a home on 13th Street and North Mangonia in West Palm Beach.

According to reports, Kelvi McCray, 18, was shot multiple times by her estranged boyfriend, Keisean Shaw, 19, while she was on a FaceTime call.

When law enforcement officials arrived at the scene, they discovered Kelvi McCray with severe gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, McCray succumbed to her injuries shortly after being transported to Saint Mary’s Medical Center.

Keisean Shaw was also found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Shaw was rushed to the same medical center but passed away the following day due to the severity of his injuries.

As the investigation progressed, law enforcement officials were able to positively identify Keisean Shaw as the primary suspect in the murder-suicide. Witnesses who were present on the FaceTime call with Kelvi McCray at the time of the shooting played a crucial role in identifying Shaw as the individual responsible for the tragic event.

The police also interviewed witnesses who were present at the scene or had relevant information about McCray and Shaw’s relationship.

Kelvi McCray, the young woman tragically killed in the incident, was remembered by friends and family as a vibrant and caring individual. She had a bright future ahead of her and was deeply loved by those around her.

“She was as intelligent as she was beautiful,” said McCray’s uncle, Ricky Aiken, to WPBF.
