TAMPA, Fla. – This is a cancellation of the Florida Missing Child Alert that was activated on Monday for Jewell Blackwell. The child has been located safe.

PREVIOUS REPORT: The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Florida MISSING CHILD Alert for 16-year-old Jewel Blackwell.

Blackwell was last seen in the area of the 6000 block of Gibson Avenue in Tampa, Florida. She is described as a black female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 245 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a grey sweater and grey sweatpants. Blackwell also has two nose piercings and a lip piercing.

Authorities believe she may be traveling in the South Florida area.
