Two years ago, Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and GOP lawmakers in the Legislature sought to defend children from LGBTQ indoctrination with the Parental Rights in Education Act.
The law prohibited county school districts and classroom teachers from implementing lesson plans rooted in gender ideology or sexual orientation. The ban applied in grades K-3. Last year, it was expanded to all grades.
But one Florida middle school teacher doesn’t know, or more likely doesn’t care. She appears to see it as her mission to indoctrinate school children as “pride babies.”

On Tuesday, the conservative X account Libs of TikTok posted a 35-second video recorded by an unidentified middle school teacher.
The beginning of the clip shared by Libs of TikTok shows the teacher panning the camera across parts of her classroom. The video cuts to a wall where she notes “my flags.” Mounted there are the state flags of West Virginia and Florida.
The video then shows her “other flags” — the multicolored Progress Pride Flag, which is much larger than the American flag mounted to its left.
“Probably my most popular flag is my Progress Pride Flag. I get a lot of comments on this because it’s always in the background of my videos,” she declares.

Hanging from the ceiling above the banner is a yellow sign saying “Safest Area.”
“We love some Progress Pride Flag,” the teacher continues.
She then apparently references another teacher at the unnamed school who co-sponsors with her the Gay Straight Alliance Club for students.
“We have to show our pride babies some love, so we love this flag” she adds as the camera lingers on the Pride Progress Flag.
In response, Libs of TikTok posted with the video: “Florida middle school teacher who runs a gay club at school says her most popular flag is her progress pride flag. She also refers to students who think they’re trans or nonbinary as ‘pride babies.’”

“These are the people teaching your kids.”
In the comments, one conservative X user, Paul Szypula, who has more than 113,000 followers, observed, “I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to do what this Florida middle school teacher is doing to her students. This is her personal confession tape.”
“Sadly,” he added, ‘many principals let this inappropriate promoting of gender ideology continue. Hopefully, local authorities will address this abuse.”
