A 21-year-old Florida man has been arrested after investigators say he was targeting young Treasure Coast girls via Snapchat and then pursuing them for sex.
Blaine Korbin Hulten, 21, was located by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Pinellas County on Thursday morning.
Hulten fled the area after learning that Martin County Detectives were looking into his social media activity after allegations surfaced that he had sexual contact with two local minors, one as young as 13.
Hulten has been charged with lewd and lascivious battery in those cases. He’s also facing at least 40-more charges including multiple counts of transmitting harmful material, production of child pornography, solicitation, and traveling to meet a minor.
The case was uncovered after a School Resource Deputy learned that Hulten was taking young girls to the mall to purchase underwear.
The SRO contacted MCSO’s Criminal Investigations Division, and the investigation was launched.
Detectives do believe that Hulten targeted multiple local juveniles via the social media app going as far back as January of this year using the profile names Blainefirerx, firex1, and cstripe623.
“We are asking Treasure Coast parents to speak to your children and ask if they have been contacted by Hulten. If so, we are asking that you call our Criminal Investigations Division at 772-220-7060,” said Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
Martin County Detectives traveled to Pinellas County to pick Hulten up and take him to Martin County Thursday.
His current bond is set at five million dollars.
