The Florida Lottery announced that Sean Smith-Ogara, 34, of Crestview, claimed the first $2 million top prize from the new 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Pensacola District Office.
He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,645,000.00.
Smith-Ogara purchased his winning ticket from Tom Thumb, located at 1463 State Highway 83 in Defuniak Springs. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The new $10 game, 100X THE CASH, launched in January 2022 and features more than $337.9 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $2,000,000! The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.44.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 75 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $1.3 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2020-21.
