A Florida man has claimed a $2 million top prize from the Florida Lottery’s PAYDAY BONUS Scratch-Off game. Zakaria Beneddi, 33, of Panama City, received his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,370,000.00 at the Lottery’s Pensacola District Office.
The winning ticket was purchased at Lagoon Mart, located at 7807 N. Lagoon Drive in Panama City Beach. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the lucky ticket.

The PAYDAY BONUS Scratch-Off game, priced at $10, offers players the chance to win from over $132 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $2 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.40.
Scratch-off games represent a significant portion of the Florida Lottery’s sales, accounting for approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
Since their inception, these games have awarded over $65.5 billion in prizes, created 2,283 millionaires, and generated more than $19.80 billion for Florida’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
