A 66-year-old Florida man is a millionaire thanks to the Florida Lottery. John Sinclair claimed a $1 million top prize from the JEOPARDY! Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
Sinclair of Edgewater chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00. He purchased his lucky ticket from the Winn-Dixie located at 1838 South Ridgewood Avenue in Edgewater. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The $5 JEOPARDY! The scratch-off game offers players the chance to win over $64.3 million in cash prizes, including ten top prizes of $1 million.
With overall odds of winning at 1-in-3.86, the game has more than 4.7 million winning tickets.
Scratch-off games are a significant part of the Florida Lottery’s portfolio, comprising approximately 74% of ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
