A Florida man was arrested after using a convenience store’s beer cave as a restroom after finding that the bathroom was locked.
According to deputies, Clarence Patterson, 61, stopped into a “Hop and Pop” convenience store in Brevard County last weekend to use the bathroom, which was locked.
Investigators say the man was caught on camera heading to the “Beer Cave” in the store immediately after the bathroom attempt.
Once inside the “Beer Cave, Patterson perused the selection of malts, to decide which brand to relieve himself on.
The responding deputy said, “The defendant (Patterson) faced toward the alcohol cases on the shelves, unzipped his pants, and proceeded to urinate in the area immediately in front of him.”
“The footage was very clear, and I was able to view the complete figure and face of the defendant,” said the deputy.
The store owner disposed of six cases of beer that Patterson marked.
Patterson was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and posted a $500 bond.
