A lucky Florida man is $815,000 richer after claiming a top prize from the Florida Lottery’s $50,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game.

Moises Hernandez, 69, of Miami, won $1,000,000 and opted to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum payment. He purchased his winning ticket from Guerrero Market, located at 240 Southwest 8th Avenue in Miami.

The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The $50,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game offers a variety of prizes, with a top prize of $50,000 a year for life. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.43.

Scratch-Off games are a significant part of the Florida Lottery, contributing approximately 74% of total ticket sales. Since its inception, Scratch-Off games have awarded over $64.3 billion in prizes and generated more than $19.5 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
