A Florida man’s stop at Wawa turned into a life-changing event! John Eichinger Jr., 53, claimed a massive $15 million top prize from the Florida Lottery’s $15,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER Scratch-Off game.

Eichinger of Port Orange purchased his winning ticket at the Wawa located at 1031 Dunlawton Avenue in Port Orange, turning a $30 purchase into a fortune. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $8,968,000.00

The Wawa that sold the winning ticket will also celebrate, receiving a $30,000 bonus commission.

The $30 $15,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER Scratch-Off game launched in September and has become a popular choice for players. The game features four top prizes of $15 million and six prizes of $1 million, with over $489 million in total cash prizes. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.60.  

Scratch-off games are a significant part of the Florida Lottery, making up approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
