A 44-year-old Florida woman was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of stabbing her boyfriend in the eye with rabies vaccination needles during an argument.

The arrest affidavit, originally reported by WPLG-TV, says that Sandra Jimenez and her longtime partner were out on Saturday, November 25, when they had an “ongoing argument” about him “looking at other women.”

At approximately 10 p.m., Jimenez and her boyfriend allegedly returned home, at which point their dispute escalated into a physical altercation.

According to police, Jimenez “jumped on top of him with two rabies needles that were intended for their dogs” and stabbed the boyfriend in the eyelid while he was seated on the couch.

Jimenez fled the residence after the stabbing.

The victim dialed 911 and was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Police allegedly discovered Jimenez sound asleep in her vehicle, and she stated that her partner self-inflicted the eyeball wounds with the needles.

According to court records from Miami-Dade County, Jimenez was placed under house arrest after being charged with aggravated battery. She must maintain a distance from her boyfriend.
