Florida Man Named ‘Price’ Arrested After Taking $20K In Jewelry Without Asking The Price

Florida man, Kearston Javon Price, 24, has been arrested after running off, literally, with $20,000 worth of jewelry from a store.

Deputies say the man’s budget was “zero”, but his taste was $20K.

The ordeal started when Price visited a fine jewelry store at Treasure Coast Mall on Tuesday in Martin County.

Deputies say Price wanted to try on 14k gold chains and the clerk obliged. Price proceeded to try on the necklaces and was “100-percent satisfied with the quality and the service” but didn’t ask about the cost. Instead, Price took off running with the gold chains on.

Price made his way to Kanner Highway in the borrowed car he was driving, according to investigators.

But that’s where the gold rush ended.

Despite his best effort to flee, MCSO captured Kearston Price just before he made it to the interstate.

Price was arrested with nearly 20-thousand dollars in stolen jewelry still on his neck. He was charged with grand theft of property of $10,000–$20,000.

Price has another warrant out of Broward County for robbery by sudden snatching, dealing in stolen property, and false verification of ownership.

The story is the same in Ocala where a warrant for grant theft of property between $10,000–$20,000, false ownership to a pawn broker, and dealing in stolen property awaits.
