Florida Man Leads Deputies On ‘World’s Slowest’ Police Chase, Then Tries To Bite Them: Video

In a story that proves truth is stranger than fiction, a Florida man recently treated Flagler County deputies to what might be the slowest police chase in history.

33-year-old Kyle McNary allegedly kicked a passenger out of his vehicle, was involved in a hit-and-run crash, and then proceeded to lead deputies and Bunnell police on a snail-paced pursuit down U.S. 1. One can only imagine the officers’ frustration as they tried to apprehend a suspect who apparently mistook his car for a tortoise.

McNary’s antics didn’t stop there. After being arrested and taken to the hospital for a medical complaint, he allegedly threatened and resisted deputies, even attempting to bite one of them. Perhaps he was hoping to add “zombie” to his list of offenses?

“This dirtbag has a history of threatening and attacking Deputy Sheriffs, and during his recent criminal act he seriously injured a person in a crash, and we wish them a speedy recovery,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “But for McNary it looks like he needs an extended stay at the Green Roof Inn so he doesn’t injure anyone else or kill someone with his actions.”

McNary is currently facing a slew of charges, including simple battery, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, and assaulting a law enforcement officer. He is being held without bond, presumably with his shoelaces confiscated to prevent any further high-speed escapes.
