Wilfredo Soto, 63, of Lutz, is celebrating a significant windfall after claiming a $1 million prize from the Florida Lottery’s “$1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR” Scratch-Off game.
Soto claimed his prize at the Lottery’s Tampa District Office and opted for a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Publix located at 3939 Van Dyke Road in Lutz. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the lucky ticket.

The $50 Scratch-Off game, “$1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR,” boasts two top prizes of $1 million a year for life and 234 prizes of $1 million. The game offers over $1.6 billion in total cash prizes, with overall odds of 1-in-4.50.
Scratch-off games play a crucial role in the Florida Lottery’s portfolio, accounting for approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
