A Florida man has been sentenced to 45 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges related to child sexual battery and possession of child pornography.
44-year-old Randy Schoolcraft of Naples accepted a plea deal on Friday in Collier County, bringing an end to a case that involved over one hundred charges stemming from a pattern of sexual abuse against a child under the age of twelve.

Schoolcraft was arrested in October 2022 following an investigation that uncovered the abuse. Investigators also found over one hundred images of child sexual abuse material on his electronic devices.
“The word ‘appalling’ is not strong enough to capture the nature of these crimes,” said Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk. “I’m thankful for the collaboration of our team, the Southwest Florida Intercept Task Force, and the State Attorney’s Office that forged such a strong case and took a very dangerous man off the streets.”

As part of the plea agreement, Schoolcraft will serve a minimum of 85% of his 45-year sentence. He will also be required to register as a sexual predator for life and be subject to electronic monitoring upon his release.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone who suspects child abuse to report it immediately to authorities.
