TAMPA, Fla. – A Tampa man has been sentenced to 28 years in federal prison for his role as a leader in a drug trafficking network that spanned from Mexico to Florida.
Enock Edouard, 37, was found guilty in May 2024 after a two-day bench trial. He was convicted of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and obstruction of justice.

Edouard and his co-conspirators moved large quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl from Mexico to California, where the drugs were concealed in car tires. The narcotics were then shipped or transported to Orlando and Tampa for distribution.
One of Edouard’s co-conspirators testified that Edouard was the key link between the cartel and the Florida distribution network, estimating that Edouard had sold him over 300 kilograms of methamphetamine in less than ten months.

Law enforcement seized a significant amount of drugs, firearms, and cash from Edouard and his co-conspirators, including:
- 15 firearms
- 2 hand grenades
- More than 25 kilograms of methamphetamine
- More than $80,000 in cash
