A Florida man has been charged in the beating death of his girlfriend after police found him giving CPR to the woman at a street intersection.
According to investigators, at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Friday, September 1st Orlando Police officers responded to the intersection of W. Church St. and Parramore in reference to a man giving CPR to an unconscious woman.
Police say an adult female was transported to ORMC and pronounced deceased upon arrival.

Further investigation revealed the man giving CPR had attacked the victim, his girlfriend, rendering her unconscious.
The suspect, Charles C. Jenkins Jr., 41, was placed under arrest at the scene for battery, domestic violence, and resisting arrest without violence.
The victim’s death has been ruled a homicide with an arrest warrant currently being obtained for first degree homicide.
